West Lancs Wills was established in May 2018 and is a will writing and estate planning firm based in Burscough, West Lancashire. Director Glenn has over 10 years experience in the will writing industry and his knowledge and expertise has been invaluable to hundreds of clients.
We cover most of Lancashire, Merseyside, North Cheshire and Greater Manchester. Our preferred method of contact is via face to face appointments in the comfort of a clients home. However, we are prepared to conduct business via phone, email, post and webchat. We practice social distancing and other Covid 19 guidelines at our face to face meetings.
Not every adult has a Will but all adults should, especially if they have property and other assets of their own. Making a Will is the only way to ensure that your estate (everything you own) will go to the people that you want it to go to.
In addition, if you have young children, it is very important to make a Will so that you can ensure that the right people are appointed to look after your children in the event of you and/or your partner not being around.
As we get older, many of us start to think about how we can protect our assets so that as much of our estate as possible can be left to our loved ones.
This might mean reducing/eradicating inheritance tax (IHT) from our estate or it might mean that we want to stop people or organisations using our money/property in a way that we would prefer them not to. We can show you ways of protecting your assets.
Unfortunately, as we get older, some of us will struggle to look after ourselves and make decisions for ourselves like we once found easy.
If we weren’t able to do so, we would want those we love and trust to be able to help us in later life. The only way to guarantee that the right people are appointed is to make a Lasting Power of Attorney. We can arrange this for you.
Please note: Prices do not include the Office of the Public Guardian registration fee (currently £82 per application rising to £92 on 17th November 2025)
Losing loved ones is never easy and many find the burden of sorting an estate out after death of a loved one, difficult too.
